-
- keep in mind that writing a successful driver for fax is a job for a pro
- and it is many times a custom work between for a particular modem and the
- accompanying comm software, particularly Fax class 2. Expecting a modem
- to work with all comm packages on market, especially given various
- revisions of modem firwmare and of apps', is a bit idealistic.
-
- Does your modem work under Class 2 or Class 1 setup when used by MS FAX?
- Try to set it up to Class 1, which is typically less hardware dependent
- and significantly more robust with most applications. Also try to use your
- modem with a different fax application under Win95 (can be 16 or 32 bit
- version) and see if you get any difference. Also, try a different fax
- machine brand.
-
- Finally, see if using a different INF file for your modem under Win95
- fixes the problem.
-
- My hunch is that it is caused by INF file, MS fax, Class 2, remote fax
- machine brand, your modem in the order of probability.
